In Jen Bervin’s durational performative drawing Silk Line, she used a white grease pencil on a glass window to draw forms based on the filament pattern the silkworm makes in creating its cocoon.

This piece was first performed in 2015  in Providence, Rhode Island, during the opening of the exhibition From Line to Constellation curated by Francesca Capone at Granoff Center for the Creative Arts at Brown University. The second time, it was performed during the opening of the 2016 BRIC Biennial: Bed Stuy/Crown Heights Edition, curated by Jenny Gerow and Elizabeth Ferrer in Brooklyn, New York.
